Eharmony reviews and streamlines the dating process, so finding a perfect match doesn’t take a lot effort. Since 2000, this sophisticated dating site has developed time-tested matching tools based on the psychological principles of attraction.
One question people often ask is: “Is eharmony a scam?” Considering the fact that it’s on the Internet, it’s always helpful to do as much research on a website as possible before giving away any of your hard-earned money.
EHarmony reviews have nothing bad to say about this dating site when it comes to the profile customization. EHarmony allows you to provide not only basic information, such as your age, height, languages, university degree, etc. But also additional facts that can attract more people. A quick Google search will reveal a plethora of disgruntled consumers who testify to eharmony scams. If you spend much time at all reading those complaints, you will believe that it is a terrible site that could care less about consumers. And while no business is perfect, we also know that the Internet gives everyone a voice these days. We could find complaints about butterflies, puppies, and cupcakes if we search long enough.
All we’re saying is read the complaints–yes–but do your research well. There’s no way to know if the complaints on message boards are from people who have axes to grind or people who find fault in everything. So definitely read them, but seek professional reviews as well.
The Los Angeles Better Business Bureau gives eharmony a rating of an A+ on a scale of A+ to F. They have certainly had people file complaints against the company, but their reasons for the high rating include the length of time the business has existed, the volume of complaints filed for a business of its size, and the resolution of the complaints filed against them.
Another way to answer the question, “Is eharmony a scam?” is to seek testimonials of single people you know in real life. The law of averages states that at least a few of your single friends have used the site. It’s a forerunner in online dating, and with online dating becoming far more widely acceptable than it used to be, chances are you know several people who’ve used it. See if they believe it’s a scam or not.
We have several friends who have met specifically through the site and have gotten married. (Several of them have shared their stories here, here, and here.) For us, that’s testimony enough to the fact that it isn’t a scam. But don’t just take our word for it–do some research of your own in real life.
However, keep in mind that just because someone doesn’t find the love of their life or even a single date doesn’t mean any online dating site is a scam. Many, many factors go into the reasons a person doesn’t find true love. Obviously, the online dating site can play into this, but so can things like on your end–like your profile settings or your willingness to initiate communication with other members. It’s not eharmony’s fault if you’re not working the system, friend. You gotta view some profiles, send some smiles, type up some messages. Do the work, yo.
Are there eharmony scammers?
Absolutely. It’s the Internet and, again, anyone can create a site, tell you they represent eharmony, and take your money. Always use trusted sites when making any financial transaction on the Internet so as to avoid not only an eharmony scammer but any con artists. Keep in mind, though, that just because there are eharmony scammers does not mean that eharmony itself is a scam.

I am so dissatisfied with Eharmony and their customer service. Not only unauthorized charges to my credit card, 'staged' profiles, and they send me what they call compatible profiles that are not in my range of interest. I have been dealing with these issues since I first signed up and tried to cancel but they said I am tied to one year even though I paid my first installment and I am unhappy they want the full year of money. No wonder they need the money - the service stinks and they probably do not get enough good responses to bring in good revenue for this site.
